CO2 emissions and climate change
Since the Industrial Revolution, which began in the 18th century, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has increased by about 40 per cent. [source directgov]
Human activity is changing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and burning fossil fuels is a key contributor.
Wonderbags reduce CO2 emissions
When used 3 or 4 times a week, each Wonderbag can save about 0.5 carbon tonnes per year. 150,000 Wonderbags have already been placed in homes, saving 50,000 carbon tonnes. We have current orders for 5 million more, so carbon savings over the next 5 years will really add up!

This illustration is based on current orders and doesn’t take into account new orders which we are expecting from the growing corporate interest in Wonderbag.
Saving the planet… one stew at a time
Using a Wonderbag isn’t difficult. It doesn’t require extra effort or big changes to routines. It changes people’s daily habits in a simple way that saves them money, effort and time. It makes kitchens safer for children too. We’ve found that when a few people in a community get a Wonderbag, word soon spreads and everyone wants one.
Our commitment to a low carbon future
We are so committed to a low carbon future that we’ve made a promise to replace people’s Wonderbags when they are no longer useable and ready to be recycled. The average life-span of a Wonderbag is about 4 years. In addition, on-going surveys of Wonderbag users will help us to monitor usage of Wonderbags and CO2 reductions and also what we can do to motivate increased usage.
Eco-cooking with a Wonderbag makes revolutionary change simple.
"Wonderbag is ecologically harmless…
- It contains no CFC’s and is fully recyclable.
- The Wonderbag consists of a fabric bag and matching lid, both filled with recycled polystyrene.
